Panda Sunshine Red Kiwi & Panda Forest Red Kiwi

This red-fleshed kiwi is striking attractive in appearance, sweet and well suited to Asian taste pallet.

1. GlobalHort has the exclusive and sole rights to propagation and production of the Chuhong cultivar within the Peoples Republic of China and all of its territories.

2. Chuhong fruit has red flesh color around the core. On the cross section of the fruit, flesh color forms a green-red-yellow pattern from outer part to inner part, and appears strikingly attractive.

3.The fruit of Chuhong has a long ellipsoid shape, and is hairless. It has dark green skin color, which contrasts other kiwifruit cultivars that usually have brown skin color. Soluble solids level of ripe fruit is about 16.5%, with maximum of 21%.

4. The fruit has extremely good taste. Chuhong is an early cultivar. This varietal is marketed exclusively by GlobalHort as Panda™ Forest Red. It will be available in commercial volumes from 2010/2011.5. In 2009 GlobalHort marketed a selection of the HongYang throughout China - a new exciting yellow & red fleshed kiwi under its Panda™ Sunshine Red Kiwi label. This fruit received great reviews from consumers for its unique colours and sweet taste. Panda™ Sunshine Red Kiwi is be available from GlobalHort from mid-August.
